DOROTHY L. KERN, 89, of Columbia Cottage, Spring Township, Berks County, died Thursday, April 27, in her home. She was the wife of the late David A. Kern. She was a secretary at Berks County Vocational-Technical School, Bern Township, for nine years until retiring in 1969. Born in Walnutport, she was a daughter of the late Dr. Henry and Irene (Kuhns) Litzenberger. She was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ Church, Shillington. She was a life member of the Woman's Club of Reading and a member of the Grace Lutheran Church Senior Center, Shillington. Survivors: Son, Brian R. of Lancaster; daughter, Dorothy E. Lefever of Shillington; brother, Alfred of Taft, Calif.; sister, Frances Krum of Roxborough, Philadelphia County, three grandchildren and three great-grandsons.
