Anna Louise (Kauffman) Trexler passed into the presence of her Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 25, 2017 after 97 years of life, 76 of them married to her surviving husband, Vincent, a chemical engineer. Believing “that Jesus died and rose again . . . so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him” (1 Thessalonians 4:14 NIV). Also surviving are her three children: Frederick (Valerie), Bonne (Jaak) Aulik, and Christine (Ross) Anderson; 8 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Born November 17, 1919 in Mount Penn, PA, Louise early excelled in basketball, chemistry, and art. During her adult years she lived in Clark, NJ, Rome, NY, Toccoa Falls, GA, and retired in Florida. She and her husband were travelers and sailors, roaming as far as Patagonia in South America. While raising her children, Louise volunteered at YMCA day camps, Pioneer Girls camp, and Delta Lake Camp (C&MA). Later at “Camp Grandma” in GA she taught swimming and water skiing to her grandchildren. She loved all kinds of crafts from painting butterfly signs and raccoons on trees to carving life-like ducks and other birds that won city and local awards at Good Samaritan Village (GSV), Kissimmee.
