Lorraine Irene (Hohe) Szep, born July 28, 1923 to Alberta (Litzenberger) and Elmer Hohe of Emmaus, departed this life on February 1, 2015. For 69 years, she shared her life with her dear husband, Ludwig, before his passing in January 2013. They had married 12/12/43 in Los Angeles during World War II. After Ludwig’s return from service in the Persian Gulf command in 1946, they lovingly raised 3 children (Michael, Ann, and Steven) in Allentown and were blessed with 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Lorraine was a longtime member of the choir and Mother/Daughter group at St. John ECC in Allentown, and enjoyed gardening, ceramics, reading books, crossword puzzles, and board and card games with friends. She was a 1941 graduate of Emmaus High School and was active in organizing class reunions. She lived most recently with her daughter in Michigan and Florida, enjoying theater productions and community activities.

Survivors: She is sorely missed by her surviving children, Michael Szep (Marijean) and Ann Gergar (Louis), as well as her grandchildren who find solace in that her loving son, Steven, and adoring husband, Ludwig, will greet her in Eternity.
