Rolland E. Handwerk, 69, of Slatington R.4, died Tuesday in the home of his daughter Cherie, wife of Donald Kunkle, with whom he resided. He was the husband of Evelyn M. (Weiss) Handwerk.
He owned and operated the former Handwerk's Restaurant, Slatington, from 1962 until retiring in 1979.
Born in Slatington, he was a son of the late Russell E. and Olive M. (Neff) Handwerk.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors: Wife and daughter; son, Ronald A. Frey of Slatington; sister, Mrs. Frances Ritter of Allentown; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
