Vivian I. Moyer, 77, of Philadelphia, formerly of Catasauqua, died Wednesday, Sept. 16, in Veterans Affairs Hospital, Philadelphia.
She taught medical and surgical nursing at Philadelphia General Hospital and Jefferson Hospital School of Nursing and Pennsylvania Hospital School of Nursing, both in Philadelphia. After retiring, she tutored practical nurses for the state board examinations.
During World War II, she served in the Army Nurse Corps and spent 18 months at the Army General Hospital in Bournemouth, England.
A 1943 graduate of Jefferson Hospital School of Nursing, she was president of its alumni association, 1959-61. In 1953, she received a bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Russell and Fayette (Walker) Moyer.
She was a former member of Salam United Church of Christ, Catasauqua.
Survivors: Sister, Cecelia Hinds of Wynnewood, Montgomery County, and nieces.
