Misc. Notes
One of Catasauqua's oldest residents, Floranda C. A., wife of William B. Haas, died at seven o'clock last evening at her home, 551 Howertown road. She was in her ninety-first year and on November 24 of this year Mr. and Mrs. Haas would have observed the sixty-fifth anniversary of their marriage. News of the Nonogenarian's death will come as a shock to her many friends, her illness dating back less than a fortnight when she suffered an attack of acute indigestion. On Sunday she was stricken with apoplexy and death last evening relieved her suffering. Mrs. Haas was born at Kline's Corner, Berks County, the daughter of Jonas and Esther (nee Lichty) Kline. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church, Catasauqua. Her husband and a sister, Mrs. Montana L. Flexer, also of Catasauqua, survive. The funeral will be held from her late home on Saturday at 1.30 p.m. Services will be conducted by her pastor, Rev. J. F. Lambert. Interment will be made in the cemetery at Maxatawny church.
