Joseph A. Guinyon, former Pittsburgh lawyer, and a resident of Allentown since 1921, passed away in the Sacred Heart Hospital June 9, 1931. He was 71 years of age.

Born in Corry, Mr. Guinvon was a son of the late Lawrence Elyot and Elizabeth Mwen Guinyon. After being admitted to the bar, he opened offices in Pittsburgh, where he had an extensive practice. Qn December 15, 1921, he was married to the former Mrs. John Stopp, who preceded him in death on December 21, 1930. The couple resided at 31 North Fifth Street. Mrs. Guinyon, some years ago, presented to the society a valuable collection of antique furniture collected by her son, Samuel Bridges Stopp.

He had been an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church, and was affiliated with a number of local organizations.

The last of his family, Mr. Guinyon leaves eight nieces and nephews, and a cousin.

The surviving nieces and nephews are Walter Guinyon, of Philadelphia; Elmer Guinyon, of Erie; Frank Guinyon, of Chautauqua, N: Y.; Joseph Guinyon and Mrs. Frank Loveland, of Corry; Mrs. Berton Lutes, of Newark, N. J.; Mrs. Fred Grow, of Maplewood, N. J., and Lloyd K. Dech, of Allentown.
