JACOB J. REINHARD, son of John, was born in Salisbury township, Dec. 27, 1861. He was educated in the common schools and reared on his father's farm of 140 acres until of age; then worked it on the shares until 1898, when he moved to his present place, Minesite, and retired. He owns several farms including the former Riegel farm with a mill on the Little Lachish, which he rents to E S. Bortz. He was for a time a director of the Second National Bank; a school director of Lower Macungie; and served as a member of the Democratic county committee. He is a member of the Knights of Malta also of the Western Salisbury Reformed congregation, which he served as deacon, elder and trustee, and is now treasurer. In 1885, he married Ida M., daughter of John and Marietta (Kline) Hottenstein.
