THOMAS P. WENNER, son of Peter, was born in Allentown July 30, 1861. He was educated in the schools of the city and graduated from the high school in 1878. He followed the mercantile business for some years; was connected with the school board since 1892, and officiated as secretary from 1900. He is a member of Lehigh Lodge of Odd Fellows, No. 83, Sons of the American Revolution, and Lehigh County Historical Society. He married Alice H,, daughter of Capt. Abraham Shaffer and Sarah Hausman, his wife, of Reading. They have two children: Ralph S. and Margery S. They are members of St. John's Lutheran church.
