Hon. William P. Snyder, son of George and Susan (Schindel) Snyder, was born in Lehigh County in 1852. He was educated at the Millersville State Normal School and the Muhlenberg College, and then read law with the Hon. It E. Wright, Sr. He became one of the leading attorneys of the state and one of its ablest platform speakers, having campaigned Pennsylvania and other states for Benjamin H. Harrison, who later appointed hint deputy attorney general of the United States, under Attorney General Brewster, and the last named sent him to South Carolina, where he rendered efficient public service. Subsequently Mr. Snyder located in the city of New York and has there also achieved prominence as an attorney.
