Adam Scheirer, son of John and Marie F. (Ringer) Scheirer was born November 17, 1829. He was a merchant in Rising Sun and later a farmer in South Whitehall. Since 1901 he resides at Mickleys. He is a member of the Lutheran congregation at Egypt. He was married to Lovina Kemmerer.

He was married the second time to Caroline Bortz.
