Name spelled Schaadt

DANIEL A. SCHADT, son of Thomas and Hannah (Stofflet) Schadt, was born July 7. 1856. He was reared on the farm and in 1889 he began to farm for himself on his father's farm, now owned by a cement company. In 1908 he moved on his own farm, which he purchased in 1906, formerly owned by John Houseman He is a member of the Reformed congregation at Egypt, which he served as deacon, elder and trustee. In l889 he was married to Emma Guth, a daughter of Evan and Carolina (Benner) Guth. They are the parents of the following children: Miriam, matted to John Guth; Minnie, a graduate of the Whitehall township high school and of Lutherville College, Md.; Margaret; Thomas E., and Lawrence.
