Mrs. Edward H. Reninger, descendant of one of Allentown's oldest families, and mother of Colonel Henry A. Reninger, died June 27, 1944, aged 86 years. She had lived the last fifty years of her life in the family residence, 41 South Fifth Street, within sight of her birthplace, the old Weinsheimer homestead, now the quarters of the Chamber of Commerce. Her husband, who preceded her in death in August 1927, was a prominent Allentown attorney and banker who for 40 years was associated with the Lehigh Valley Trust Company as secretary-treasurer and vice president. They were married in 1884.

Mrs. Reninger was the daughter of Henry and Rebecca, nee Saeger, Weinsheimer, born August 1, 1857. She is survived by three children: Evelyn, wife of Attorney John G. Candor, of Williamsport; Estelle Reninger, at home; and Colonel Reningcr, U. S. Army, Baltimore, Maryland.
