Rev. Albert G., pastor of St. Stephens Reformed church, Perkasie, Pa,, who was born on his grandfather's homestead in Heidelberg township, February 27, 1879. He attended the public schools of Washington township, the Summer Normal School conducted by Prof. J. P. Deibert, at Schnecksville, and a session at the Keystone Normal School at Kutztown, Pa. He taught school at Lehigh Gap for two years and entered Ursinus College in 1899, from which institution he was graduated in 1903. During the same year he entered Ursinus School of Theology, of Philadelphia, from which he was graduated with first honor in 1906. He received the Junior prize in Hebrew; the Middler's prize in New Testament Greek; the Senior prize in Reformed Church History. From 1903 to 1905 he attended the Neff College of Oratory and in 1905 and 1906 he was an instructor in oratory and mind development at Temple University, Philadelphia.. Pa., under Rev. Russell H. Conwell, LED. He accepted a call as assistant pastor of the Dryland charge in Northampton County. and in 1907 accepted a call from the Grace St. Stephen's charge at Lebanon. Here he organized St. Stephen's congregation and in 1910, owing to the growth of the congregation, resigned the pastorate of Grace congregation and continued as pastor of the new congregation until 1912, when he accepted a call from St. Stephen's Reformed church at Perkasie. In 1911 this congregation built a Sunday school building, parsonage and garage at a cost of S4.31000.00

On August 8, 1906. Rev. Peters was united in marriage to Miss Xenia L. Helfrich, daughter of John A. Helfrich. M.D., of Allentown, and they have three children.
