Mrs. Sarah Schofer, 87, of 1014 1/2 W. North died at 7:30 a.m. Saturday in Memorial Hospital.

Born in Lynnville, Pa., Dec. 11, 1878, she was the daughter of Henry and Anna Caroline Swoyer Kistler.

Affiliated with St. Luke's Lutheran Church, she was a member of the Lutheran Church Women, WCTU and the Best Years Club.

Survivors include four sons, John of Kent, Lt. Col. Karl F. Schofer, stationed Malstrom AFB, Great Falls, Mont., Luther of Warren and Henry, Bad Kreuzhach, Germany; a daughter, Mrs. J. A. Bright, 1014 W. North; 12 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

A son, Paul, died in 1961.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the church with Rev. Wesley Runk and Rev. John Berger officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

The body will be taken to the church an hour before services. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.
