John S. Follweiler, son of John, was born Dec. 6, 1825. He was baptized in the same year. His sponsors were his grandparents, Daniel and Dorothea (Leaser) Follweiler. When a young man he travelled through New York, Ohio and Indiana. Upon his return to Lynn, he married Brigitta Brobst, daughter of John and Lydia (Smith) Brobst. He was a farmer and was supervisor of Lynn for twenty-four years. There were four John Follweilers living in the township at the same time. He was known as the "Supervisor John"; another was the "Shoemaker John." At the time of his death on Dec. 7, 1901, (aged 76 years and 1 day), he was the last charter member of the I. O. O. F., of Steinsville. He was active in church matters, and served all the offices in the Reformed congregation of the Jacksonville church. His wife was born March 23, 1828, and died Oct. 23, 1902, in her 75th year. They had three children: Missouri, married (first) John Fetherolf, and (second) Charles Greenawald; John B.; and Lewis A.
