Dr. William H. Cooper, a highly respected physician of Oakmont, near Pittsburgh, and a son of Rev. Charles J. Cooper, 1027 Walnut Street, second floor, this city, passed away at 8 o'clock Monday morning, April 13, 1925, at his home, of a heart attack, similar to one which he had suffered two years ago, and which almost proved fatal at that time. He was aged 53 years, 9 months and 7 days. Dr. Cooper was born in South Bethlehem, the son of Rev. Charles J. and the late Emma S. (nee Knauss) Cooper. In 1886, the family moved to this city, where Dr. Cooper graduated from Muhlenberg Academy and College in 1891. He then attended the Homeopathic College in Philadelphia, graduating in 1894. He was an interne at the Pittsburgh Homeopathic Hospital for one year, after which he opened practice at Oakmont. At the time of his death, he was known as one of the most successful and learned homeopathic physicians in the western part of the state. He made many visits to this city, and has a large circle of friends here. His father had charge of the Friedensville congregation up until a few years ago, when he resigned and was made pastor emeritus.

Dr. Cooper was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity, Lehigh County Historical Society, Pennsylvania German Society, and the National and Pennsylvania Homeopathic Medical Societies.

There survives his widow, Harriet R. (nee Beddes); his father, four children, Charles J., 3rd, of Turtle Creek; Franklin B., a sophomore at W. and J. College; Mrs. George Morrow, Sharpsville, and Caroline Alice, at home. The following brothers and sisters also survive: Mrs. William H. Pascoe, this city; Mrs. F. King Singeiser, of Troy, N. Y.; Miss S. Alice Cooper, this city, and Mrs. Joseph P. Sieger, this city. A brother, Rev. Frederick E. Cooper, died in Milwaukee eight years ago.

The body was interred at Oakrnont, Wednesday, April 15, 1925.
