Tilghman K. was for many years a successful farmer, and became a director of the Second National Bank of Allentown, and of the Allentown & Coopersburg Turnpike Company. At one time he was the owner of most of the site of South Allentown, and he donated half of the lot on which Grace Reformed church stands. He is now deceased.

Tilghman K. Kline was the owner of 490 acres of land in Salisbury, embracing the greater part of what is now the Twelfth ward, Allentown. He was a director of the Second National Bank, and of the Allentown and Coopers Turnpike Co. He was never married.
