Augustus Frederick, who died in the United States Soldiers' Home at Hampton Roads, Virginia, in 1917; he was first lieutenant of the One Hundred and Twenty-ninth Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, entering the service on President Lincoln's first call in 1861, and going to the front with his regiment, under command of Colonel Yohe. Later he was captain of Company C, of another regiment, serving until the close of the war in 1865, being engaged in many of the most important battles of the war. He married Annie Crawford, of Easton, Pennsylvania.
