Misc. Notes
Katie Rosa, nee Kline, Lambert, wife of Harry A. Lambert, died at her home, 314 N. 16th St., Allentown, on October 16, 1945 due to a heart ailment. She was born in Allentown, January 21, 1873, the daughter of Rosa Rebecca Kline (nee Roeder) and Charles R. Kline.

Her father, a prominent pioneer merchant of Allentown, owned and operated a wholesale and retail liquor store on South Center Square in the earlier days. He also was the owner of the one time popular Kline's island in the Lehigh River, located south of the Hamilton St. Bridge, which furnished much of the building and foundry sand used during the construction period of the late 1800.

Mrs. Lambert attended the local schools, Allentown College (now known as Cedar Crest College), and Boston Conservatory of Music. A talented pianist, she occasionally gave a complete evening's piano recital of left-hand compositions.

In 1898 she married Harry A. Lambert, of Catasauqua, who had just returned as a veteran of the Spanish American war.

She had one son Warren K. Lambert, of Bethlehem; two daughters, Mrs. Edwin L. Mack and Margaret A. Lambert, of Allentown; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Kline Mertz, of Wyncote, Pa., and a brother, Louis M. Kline, of Allentown.

She was a member of the Asbury Methodist church, Auxiliary of the Beauceant Commandery of the Knights Templar, and the Lehigh County Historical society.
