Reuben Laubach was born in Lower Nazareth Township, September 1, 1844, and having acquired his education in the common schools he began learning the trade of shoemaking. After completing his apprenticeship he followed that pursuit for a short time, and then conducted a general store in Hanover Township, where he carried on merchandising for thirteen years. On the expiration of that period he located on his present farm in Lower Nazareth Township, and has resided here continually since 1888, having a good tract of land on which he annually raises large crops. In his political views he is a stanch Republican, unfaltering in his allegiance to the party and its principles, and socially he is an active member of the Knights of Malta.
