BORN in Tuscaloosa, Ala., June 18, 1877, son of CharlesA. and Elfreda (Walker) Stiliman. Graduate of theUniversity of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, Alabama, with thedegree of A. B., in 1896.
After graduation, entered the employ of the Corona Coal and Coke Co., and remained with the company two years, 1896-1898. Later was connected with the Southern Coal Company and in 1899, removed to Birmingham, Alabama, being there engaged in business-with a firm of Insurance Brokers for several months. In the same year became connected with the Empire Steel and Iron Company and has remained continuously in the employ of the company since that time, being promoted through various grades to the office of Secretary and Treasurer of the company, which position he now holds. Mr. Stillman is also Secretary and Director of the Crane Iron Works, the Mount Hope Mineral Railroad Company, Victoria Coal and Coke Company, Sewell Colliery Company and the Crane Railroad Company.
