In early life he served an apprenticeship to the trade of harness making. which he pursued in the township of Plainfield for about fifteen years, after which he returned to Williams township and engaged in farming and milling. Being successful in both of these enterprises, Mr. Laubach acquired a sufficient competence to enable him to retire from active business pursuits, and be located in the city of Easton, what be spent his declining years in the enjoyment of ease and luxury. He was a deacon and elder in the Reformed church of Williams township.
