George Martin studied medicine, and about the year 1800 settled in Whitpain township, Montgomey county, Pennsylvania, where he remained until 1814, when he removed to Whitemarsh. He practiced there until 1850, in which year he became a resident of Philadelphia, making his home in that city until his death, December 8, 1862.
