The eldest child of Major Ezekiel and Lois (Stevens) Peirce. He was a constable of Kingston township in 1772, served at Lexington with a party of minutemen from Plainfield, Connecticut, April 20, 1775, then returned to the Wyoming Valley and served with the Twenty-fourth Connecticut Regiment. He was justice of the peace in Kingston, and was otherwise prominent until his death, May 23, 1814.
