Jane Louise Green RN, passed away in a tragic automobile accident on her way to her new home in St George, Utah at the age of 66, on May 6, 2017.
Jane was born on June 6, 1950, to Harold James Heffelfinger and Beatrice Eleanor Allen in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
She was raised in Catasauqua, Pennsylvania. She attended Catasauqua High School then obtained her bachelor's degree in1980, from Sacred Heart Hospitals nursing program.
In the summer of 1980, she moved to Utah with her two children, Scott and Jennifer and began a new life. Shortly after arriving in Utah, she met the love of her life, Richard Green. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple on May 14, 1981. Together, had three daughters and began raising their family.
Jane continued her work as a Registered Nurse, one of her greatest treasures in life. She enjoyed babysitting, teaching the grandkids how to swim and bought a zoo pass for the kids. She always stayed true to her Pennsylvania heritage and enjoyed telling stories and cooking Pennsylvania Dutch meals for her family and friends.
Jane remained active in her LDS faith and beliefs and took various callings in the church, including a church service mission at the family history library. She was a genealogist and was able to trace her family roots back to the 1400's. She was a kind, caring, gentle woman and will be truly missed by her family neighbors and friends.
Jane is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Beatrice Heffelfinger; her younger sister, Phyllis; and granddaughter Taycia. Jane leaves behind her husband of 36 years, Richard; children, Scott (Charlotte) Jordan, Jennifer (Donald) Bertoch, Kelly, Starla (Judd) Collard, Felicia, Adam (Jackie) Galbraith, Eli Galbraith, and Emily (Nathan) Lyon; 12 grandchildren, one great granddaughter; and one unborn great granddaughter. Jane is also survived by her older sister, Judy Donchez. She is now enjoying her heavenly time with her great granddaughter Zariyah, her best friend and sister, Phyllis; and her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 11, 2017, at the LDS church, 4505 South Brians Way, West Valley Utah. Friends may visit family that morning at 9:30 a.m. at the chapel. Interment will be at Valley View Memorial Park, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, Utah.
