Born in Catasauqua, Eddie Weaver began his musical career right here in the Lehigh Valley playing for silent films while an 18-year-old student at the Eastman School of Music. Since then be has played professionally from New York to Florida working with show business greats like Bing Crosby, Rudy Vallee and Ray Bolger. During World War II as a member at the Special Services, Eddie Weaver and his band entertained GI's with Red Skelton and Mickey Rooney. A popular performer on radio for many years, his fabulous combination of resounding solos, song slides complete with sparkling original parodies, unexpected novelties and pure musical entertainment is a delight to any audience. Now you too will have the rare opportunity and pleasure to enjoy Eddie Weaver's special talent as he brings you stirring marches, special arrangements of classics, up-to-date pop tunes and, as a special treat, nostalgic music accompanying a silent film.
